That Gruesome Animated Movie Ending That Lingers Audiences

Out of all the adult-oriented animated films I have personally viewed, nothing has lingered in my mind quite like the terror-laced conclusion of the graphically gory as well as overwhelingly transgressive film from 2022 Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, this Spain-based writer-director crafted a grim, melancholy and often savage world with several minor , forlorn glimmers of optimism.

While The Unicorn Wars appears as it came from a desire to push the medium even more, the director stated that it was more an effort to express a global, multicultural message about “the common origin of every conflict.”

That idea is communicated by means of a band of colorful pastel bears , openly inspired by a popular line of cuddly figures.

Being raised in a culture built around militarism and the defense industry, a lot of the bears are consumed by slaughtering the mythical beasts, due to a religious scripture that tells the bears they used to be masters of the forest, until these creatures drove them out.

Others haven’t fully accepted the indoctrination, , choose to experiment with narcotics and mate outdoors.

Unlike their gentle counterparts, these bright beings display genitals , definite sex drives.

For one notably brutal, skeptical animal, the bear named Bluey, the conflict with unicorns transforms into a route toward dominance — and specifically to supremacy over his more tender, more compassionate sibling the bear Tubby.

Bluey behaves aggressively , a seeming psychopath , and while fear dominates his group and takes his teammates one by one, he grabs progressively control for himself, via progressively violent, damaging approaches.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are enduring their own nightmare, in the form of a growing, deadly beast in their habitat.

“In the early stages, it seems like a humorous movie,” the director said. “Yet it becomes a more dramatic and melancholic film. And by the end, it becomes a horror film.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out resembling among the playful movies by a legendary animator, that uncover a mischievous joy in letting animated figures curse, fire weapons, or engage sexually.

Then it becomes closer to a darker work by that same director, with increasingly explicit brutality , a noticeable relation to the real tragedy of conflict.

By the end, it’s a full-on extreme drama bloodbath.

The fear that turns the film an ideal spooky-season movie begins much sooner than indicated.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the most dedicated fans of gore, for enthusiasts of intense movies who wish to watch a film they haven’t ever watched previously, and are able to withstand a plot that pulls absolutely no punches.

Watch it with the lights off without any distractions, and that ending will crawl deep within you and linger.
