Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's launch, to trainers forming strong views on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous official descriptions mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a strategy.
The Scales – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
